In this post, I'm sharing some of my photography
and some activities I've been involved with this summer.
July 18 I drove up to The Dalles to meet up with other
Patriot Guard Riders to visit the residents of the
Oregon Veterans' Home. We were encouraged to donate some
items for the residents and vist with some of them.
The drive was beautiful along the Columbia River Gorge,
both ways. These are photos taken at the Veterans' Home.

and Becky. She and her husband had a grocery store
in my growing up years.
and went to school with my dad. Small world.
I didn't know either of these people were there.
They were from the plane and car museum in Hood River.
Long may she wave o'er the land of free and the home of the brave.
My mom and flowers that she enjoys in the patio out back.

Hot, panting black bear making his way to his cool den.
I wanted to make sure it was still running. It was & there were
alot of people there to see it. An awesome sight!!

July 25 we were at the Oregon Zoo for a company picnic,
with my husband and our son, who both work with the same company.
Tickets for the zoo were included in the picnic. It was 98 degrees that day.
Some of the animals weren't too happy about that.

I'm still getting used to loading photos onto this blog site.
In the process, I lost one photo and don't know how to retrieve it so 3 photos weren't shown.
Then I forgot to add a couple others, from zoo, but I guess you all know what a zebra looks like. The one with mom and granddaughter will be shared later. It's just cute.
Thanks for visiting and come back soon.
