Thoughtful Monday



This weekend I was away with a friend to do some scrapbooking with a group of ladies. It was a good time to be away since I needed to keep my mind off of losing a friend so suddenly on Friday morning when his motorcycle collided with a car. Fred was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. I had already planned to go away so I went and it did me good, even though Friday was a mixed emotion day. I chose to share these beautiful dahlias that I recently photographed to cheer myself up. I have to get my mind off sadness and think of other things. I will go with my daughter to the burial in a few days. Many PGR will be there since Fred was one of our group. His memorial service will be a few days later. We honor our dear friend for his love for life and his service in the US Navy.

We live on without our friends but remember the good times we had together.


Rest in peace my friend, you will be missed but we will keep you in our hearts forever. No one can take that away.
