Christmas Pillow

I bought this pillow years ago when I worked at a linen/bedding store. I just love it! It's my favorite pillow, besides the one I sleep on at night!

Remember!
Jesus is the Reason
we Celebrate
CHRISTmas!!

Joy to the World,
The Lord is come
Let earth Receive her King!
Let every Heart
Prepare Him room!

And heav'n and nature sing!

Christmas in my Kitchen

I'm behind in getting Christmas items out. I decided the other day it was time to pull out my Mary Engelbreit tray for display. Since I had just got out Christmas CDs and there was cookies on the table as well, it would be fun to show you what there was Christmas wise in my kitchen. I try to spend a good amount of time in there. Sometimes I spend too much time on the computer, visiting my blogging friends. I put myself on a time limit the other evening! One hour and I timed it on the kitchen timer. I got off then as well! I need to refrain from spending too much time on things that don't matter a whole lot in my life. Spend more time cleaning and baking and reading. I need to finish a sweater for granddaughter. It's top priority on my to do list right now.

Christmas is coming next week!

Christmas Goose

This past Monday I came home from shopping and found Bruce the goose on our door step!
What a nice surprise that made me smile! I needed something to give me some cheer. I'd found out a good friend of mine had died over the weekend. So this was a nice surprise.
The goose came with a note. It was from our church. The goose, whose name is Bruce, is meant
to bring some happiness to the receiver.

Bruce is meant to be kept the remainder of the day then taken to another person's house
to bring them joy. So here he is inside, by our tree.

The following day, since I had to be at work, my daughter took Bruce the goose to friends we know from church. They live a couple blocks away.
It was on their door step for a surprise.

But guess what happened the next evening when I arrived home?
Bruce the goose was there again!

So here he is, this time thinking he'd better get acquainted with some of the other inanimate objects (Christmas tree ornaments). Just in case he came back a 3rd time. That way he'd have someone to talk to at night! So far, he's not reappeared. Daughter took him to friends many blocks away! What fun!
