Life Is Special

Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Psalm 68:19 KJV

Today is your best day because you can grow a little more in your faith, a little more in your maturity,

and a little more in your intimacy with Jesus. Today you can take another step higher as He takes you from

glory to glory. Corrie Ten Boom once said, "God doesn't have problems; He only has plans."

God doesn't make bad days for you and good days for you. God makes each day fit perfectly into His

plans for you. There are two ways that we can walk through a day. One is to walk by sight,

and the other it walk by faith. To walk by faith means to walk in the truth of God's word

and the presence of the Holy Spirit who lives in you.

This little devotional (above) was in my email this morning. I wanted to share this with you from Dayspring.

It's been a rough few days in our lives. My daughter's car needed repair so it went in on Friday. Ball park

cost of repair was $1,200! Since she's out of work, dad and I have to fund 3/4 of the cost. This past Sat.

we were at a wedding at church, which was a good thing!! Wonderful day for a wedding, weatherwise.

Reception was outside so that was nice it wasn't too hot or raining. Beautiful sunset to end the day.

At the reception we learned that one of the families in our church didn't make it to the wedding. Their son

had a work accident, where he fell 14 feet and was hurt. He is at OHSU hospital in Portland. The bad

news turned to good when they found out his pelvis is broken in 3 places, no nerve damage as

feared at first. Surgery on Tues. to place pins in his body. A long road to recovery. But God is

showing his tender mercies.

This morning an prayer chain email alerted us of a death in our church family. A husband and father

died in his sleep last night, very unexpectedly! Oh my and we know these people. His wife and two teenage

daughters are hurting right now and I'm in shock and tears.

So much happening but it's awesome to be able to call God our Father in these trying times. Our car problems

pale in comparison to these other families.

It's a blessing to know that one is in heaven with the Lord. Another one is going to be back up on his feet

eventually, no paralysis! The car will be fixed and running by end of day at the cost of $850!

"The Lord is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear him." Psalm 103:13

Thanks for sharing these thoughts with us Becky! How precious that the LORD indeed orchestrates EVERYTHING according to HIS perfect plan! NOTHING comes as a shock or surprise to HIM! So sorry to hear of the recent tragedies in your circle of friends. How wonderful that these people know the LORD...the SOURCE of all comfort and grace!!

Blessings to you!
In Him,
Camille
