Our sweet granddaughter, Melody, turned 8 years old in May! She's now our oldest granddaughter since baby sister, Lydia, was born, early May! AMAY-zing!!! We met up with the family at Sub-Zero ice cream in West Linn on a late May Sunday afternoon for ice cream. It wasn't just ordinary ice cream. It's ice cream frozen by nitrogen at -321 degrees below zero!
|You cannot taste the over flow of nitrogen fog but it looks fun!|
This is my ice cream ingredients prior to being frozen. You pick your base then you build from there. My base was yogurt then there's strawberries and Oreo cookies. Each one is done in a stainless steel bowl.
One of the workers showed the children what nitrogen does to a balloon. She inflated it with air and once she put it in a bowl of liquid nitrogen, it contracts the gas in it. Then .....
once she took it out it warms up and the balloon inflates again!
My waffle cone ice cream! It was good and it didn't melt as fast as normal ice cream. It has smaller ice crystals since it freezes faster with liquid nitrogen.

Eye see you!

Erin and Justin so in love and good parents. So glad to have them in our lives.
Grandparent time with our sweet grandchildren!
Little granddaughter Lydia. So fast asleep. Second time I'd seen her since she was born but not able to hold her...of course she had to be sleeping but better than (s)creaming for ice cream!!! I did get to hold her a few weeks later.
Happy 4th of July weekend to all of you! God bless!
