My Breathe of Air

Breakfast time with a book.
It's the end of my first week of work of the January in the new year. I've been battling another virus. It hit me over the weekend. Worse when I'm trying to have fun playing Spaceship Catan with my husband on Monday. Yesterday I worked on clearing out drawers at the register between customers. I'm glad it was a bit slower. The new cash wrap was set up last night with the electrician coming in, the man from epicore who does the signature capture pads (credit card machines) and male co-workers. They took old cash wrap apart and made a new path register. Two drills were by the register. Waiting for J and A to start disassembly. It started before I left. Goodness! But I'm excited to see the new area.  Not working til Mon but may pop in to see it with my own eyes!
I feel like doing little today.  A few phone calls to make. Figure out grocery list and menu for a few weeks. Possible stay home day? I need a moment to breathe as the book title states above. Rest for the weary whose feet are sore and weary already in the new year.
No resolutions. Just want to move forward into 2018  by...better menu planning; figuring blog time or do I let it go away; find time to read, knit and make quilt for granddaughter's 10th b-day in late May; work outside more than last year with reconfiguring my plants. Blackberry vines chopped back. Find time in evening to work on home things not computer or smart phone reading. Bible study reading. Waiting and praying about women's bible study I'd like to lead. The Broken Way by Ann Voskamp. I went thru it last Jan online bible study. It was so good. I felt inclined to do it with women from our church.  Christmas tree and decor need to go soon even though it's still pretty. Lights are unplugged. Walking for exercise when weather and energy allow. Finding a place to house my Instapot Phil got me for Christmas. Downsizing. Being more frugal still in the works of less money spent and using and wearing what I have. Looking forward to a planned birthday get together with my sister next month. I've already booked a hotel at a great low price. I've stayed there before and I enjoy it!

Even tho he won by one point, I gave him a run for the prize! I like this game and know how to play it.
Have a good weekend and thanks for stopping by for a visit.

"For I am now trying to persuade people, or God? Or am I striving to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ." Galatians 1:10

Hope you are feeling better. You seem to have so many plans, we need to sit down and make a start with some forward planning. Take care.

So busy, dear Becky, so many lovely plans. Sorry you are not feeling well - there are so many nasty bugs going around. I am trying to stay well - as the twins are due any minute now and I am hoping to help my daughter as much as I can - she has a 1 year old I watch 2 days a week already. I hope you have a wonderful time with your sister for her birthday weekend. It is nice that you are close with her. I have 4 sisters that I never hear from since my parent's died. It's a heart-ache for me.....It is a blessing to have a sister that loves you. Hope your New Year is full of love, laughter and many blessings to come. Hugs xo Karen
