What a fun time I had with my sister on our birthday getaway. We attended a flower and garden show in Seattle on Sat. So many displays to view and items to buy from oh.so.many.vendors. Here's one of my favorite displays. I liked the lighting on the flowers. I'd enjoy having this in my yard. I just brought it home in form of a photo. Good memories.
Sunday morning came and I ate my breakfast at the hotel after a quick shower. One down side of having to be dressed decent to go eat there. HA! Made myself a waffle in the empty area, til a couple young men came in. I'd been watching the Olympics the night before. I was trying to figure out curling event. So I asked one of them and he explained it to me. Made more sense. They got their breakfast and went back to their room. I finished getting ready and packed my belongings.
I found I had a bit of breathing room and before I packed my Bible into my suitcase, I opened it to read some scripture. I wasn't going to church, just heading home. The scripture that I opened to was Isaiah and I looked down, there was chapter 12 and I felt it good to read out loud as I looked out the window, into some sunshine.
"O, Lord, I will praise you,
Though You were angry with me,
Your anger is turned away, and You comfort me.
Behold, God is my salvation. I will trust and not be afraid;
For YAH, the Lord, is my strength and song; He also has become my salvation.
There with joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation,
And in that day you will say,
Praise the Lord, call upon His name, declare His deeds among the peoples,
Make mention that His name is exalted
Sing to the Lord, for He has done excellent things; this is known in all the earth.
Cry out and shout, O inhabitant of Zion.
For great is the Holy One of Israel in your midst."
It was a good way to start my day going home, with sun among clouds on a chilly day. No rain, which makes it for better driving. Crazy drivers though but made it safely home! I'll be back with more photos of our time together. Til next time, have a blessed week!
