Rainy Days are Here to Stay

The days keep me busy. I was off work today and had a few things on my list that did get done. I'm blogging quickly to get back to what I need to do.

Last Friday I helped my friend Melissa clean the windows in her house downstairs. They put their house on the market on Monday. They are moving to Oklahoma for her husband's new job. I got most of the windows except the top part as it was too high for me in the living room. But the Thieves household cleaner worked really well. It is diluted 1 cap full to 2 cups water. Shiny clean windows! I was surprised she had it which is a good thing.  She was able to clean up her kitchen and we enjoyed talking with each other. And talking with some of her 5 children. I am going to miss them alot!!! Her husband left Sat and drove to Oklahoma as he needed to start work on Monday a.m. He made it safely, thank you Lord!!!
It was nice outside that day. The leaves are turning colors already. WOW!! This is Melissa's back lawn.....their deck is nice too.
She gave me these nice bulbs since she's not able to put them in her ground nor take them with her. I like the calle lily colors! She bought them from Costco and I remember seeing them at one point. Nope, I don't need it....well now I have it. It was so sweet of her to give them to me!! Payment for washing windows!!!
On Saturday, Phil and I went to the World of Speed in Wilsonville for our anniversary date. We had a good time together. Just one photo for now. Mario Andretti display.

Phil driving one of the race car simulators. I drove it after him.
It was the easiest car for us to get in and out of. Other two too tight fitiing or trying to get into....crawling over a door is no fun!!!

Sunday PM I worked on some diffuser bracelets I'm taking to a Country Mouse Holiday Market next month, to sell at my vendor table. It's at Turner, half hour from here. Looking forward to getting the photos printed out for calenders and other items to sell as well. I'm going to make a few more this evening. Top bracelet is one I did a few months ago at a bracelet class. They have myrtle wood beads on them. It's a tree grown in Oregon. The other two have less myrtle wood beads on them ...2.. as i need to stretch out what I have. Rest of them while have charcoal beads on them for diffusing essential oils. Raw myrtle wood beads work as well. Alder is another one that would work, but not sure when to find them locally.

This a.m. I walked home from the Ford dealership and saw this beautiful color of orange.  I had my oil changed and just walked home since it wasn't raining much. I did get a ride back, to pick car up,,,it was raining harder. Nice people who work there and glad we have a nice dealership to deal with!!!
Tiny little rhody bloom on my plant as I walked by!! That surprised me for sure!

Wet weather....accidents on the freeway.....wind and rain!!! Oh my!!! Glad it's warm inside. I did sweep leaves off the step and welcome mat. I know, it all comes back when the wind blows. Hard to keep leaves out of the house!!!
Back with you soon!  Take care!!

"Let not your hearts be troubled; believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And when I go and prepare a plce for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way where I am going." John 14:1-4

How sweet of you to help your friend with her windows. I didn't realize Thieves household cleaner is for windows too. I gave my bottle away to a lady at church who really wanted some but couldn't afford to buy it. Love those bracelets. I'm sure they're going to be very popular.
Wishing you a wonderful Friday Becky. Stay warm and dry, it sounds like a rainy weekend there and here too.
Blessings,
Betsy

Happy anniversary! Nice that you and Phil got to spend a day out together. I hate to do windows and so I know your friend really appreciated your help. Sad that she and her family will be so far away though. Your bracelets are pretty. I have trouble with fragrances because of my asthma but I know lots of people would like them because they are scented.

Hope you have a good weekend. It's going to be cold, rainy and windy here.
