Our Christmas 2012

We celebrated Christmas on Dec 24 in mid afternoon. It was the best solution for our families this year. Phil and I got off work early. Megan didn't have to work and Justin and Erin and children were free that day so it worked. Here  Grandpa Phil is working with the adorable grandchildren, Melody and Owen. They worked on coloring and no crayons were broken. Whatever happened to the big fat crayons? Sigh! They had a good time.
An attempt at getting a photo of grandchildren didn't work.Forget this idea!
Melody likes to pose for grandma!

Tree with more presents.

Recliner has been stuffed with the dolls and bunnies by some grandchild or two!

Lighted ceramic tree!

Last year's Christmas photo of brothers and sisters. Didn't get one this year.

Grandchildren opening gifts. Don't know why Owen had his bib on. Think he was ready to eat. We ate after we opened the gifts.

Megan modeling her scarf that Erin made her. Beautiful indeed!

Christmas dinner.....ham, pineapple, mashed potatoes, beans, cranberry sauce and sparkling cider.

Grandpa and Grandson

No, don't shoot! It's a tradition somehow. Don't know how that started. Just like the tradition of giving a little child a taste of sparkling cider and get a funny face! Now that started with my nephew years ago!

This is a second time around, since I didn't get the first shot of this. Only a bit gets in the mouth. It is yummy though!

Owen and his train he got from his grandparents. He adores trains.

Keeping it real in the kitchen!

Beautiful family, Becky and sweet traditions! Love that one with the whipped cream! I can't have any in the house because the Mr. and I take turns sneaking mouthfuls every time we open the fridge! Love you keeping it real kitchen shot - I have the same casserole dish - I use it nearly every night! Such sweetness with the grandchildren - so precious and the meaning of it all! Hugs, Karen xx P.S. love your new blog header!
